Travel is a way of life in our family, and we travel as often as we can. My tips for travelling with kids are already one of my top travel blog categories, but my favorite has always been Road Trips! The husband loves to drive, and we end up going on a lot of road trips every year.
One such trip we took recently was from Rajasthan to Gurgaon – a stretch of about 530 km that we did in one day. The three of us – the husband, the kid and I – packed snacks for the way and got our road trip playlist out, and started early in the morning from Kota, Rajasthan.
Kota is my hometown, by the way. I studied there, and my parents live there. I love the city, and it has now become extremely stunning with the additions of a famous Seven Wonders Park, the hanging bridge on river Chambal, and various other architectural masterpieces across the city.

After a good time in Kota, we started at 6am with the aim to get to Jaipur by mid-morning, and have breakfast there. The roads were under construction at a few spots on this route, so we faced a bit of traffic and lag. We reached Jaipur around 9:30am and decided to keep driving in order to avoid more traffic from Jaipur to Gurgaon.
Some would consider driving continuously for a long stretch a bit dangerous, in terms of the health of car – but let me assure you that Amaron has our back in all such conditions.Lasts long. Really long is the brand’s tagline, and we completely agree!
Not just us, but even our extended family relies only on Amaron battery because it lasts long and is durable. We are all long-drive freaks, and over the years I have witnessed Amaron’s resilience against the harsh chemical reaction within the battery, which makes it almost zero-maintenance and gives the battery a longevity that so many of its users appreciate. No wonder this is often called the best car battery in the market.
So, without worrying about the battery, we crossed Jaipur without stopping there. Thanks to the snacks we had packed, all three of us had a sumptuous breakfast in the car. The songs kept playing, and our daughter fell asleep in the back seat after a few hours of watching the landscape from the window, and singing the songs.
We crossed Jaipur without any traffic, the road is very smooth and hassle free. Soon we all wanted to stretch our legs, find a washroom and maybe get some coffee. So, we took a halt at one of the big mid-way complexes on the Jaipur-Delhi highway. We got some good coffee from one of the famous café outlets here, and while we sipped on our take-away cups, our daughter enjoyed her time in the play area that had swing sets, slides, and more.
In about 20 minutes, we were back on the road. Our daughter had asked for a cotton candy on a stick and was relishing it in the back seat. I was on my second cup of coffee. The husband got Hot Chocolate, and before we knew it, we touched Gurgaon!
We completed our drive of 550km by 1:30pm, without going over the speed limit and without driving rash at all. The car was in perfect condition upon reaching the destination. What a perfect, hassle free drive this was!
We slept peacefully in the afternoon and woke up fresh in the evening, only to drive from Gurgaon to Faridabad – because stamina, strength, and quality is what life should be about, and we plan on living it up.
When was the last time you went on a long road trip? Do you trust your car battery to endure life’s journeys with you? Let me know in the comments.
