This post is travel blog about 9 things I fell in love with at The Gateway Resort Damdama Lake Gurgaon.
My love for luxury hotels and resorts isn’t going to fade away anytime soon. Going by the readership statistics and numbers from this travel blog, I know that you like to read my reviews of luxury hotels. (Feeling ecstatic, tbh)
Also, I travel with my kid to various luxury hotels and resorts, and I then review them on their family friendliness and on the basis of how kid friendly the hotel is. This seems to resonate with a lot of Indian parents.
[ I know you will LOVE watching this hilarious video of my 4 year old review a Hotel in Goa on camera! ]
I might be bad at math, but even I know that numbers don’t lie. And the huge number of thumbs-up and red hearts I got for my recent hotel-stay updates on social media, made me want to write this post about that stunning property in Delhi NCR.

Drum rolls for The Gateway Resort, Damdama Lake Gurgaon!
A lot of people refer to this luxury hotel as Taj Damdama, in case you were wondering. It is a part of the prestigious Taj Hospitality group, after all.
I stayed here for a two day one night staycation as a part of Blogchatter’s Writing Retreat, where I was a speaker. The topic of my session was How Travel Fuels Creativity, and with heartwarming stories from almost everyone attending the event, it turned out to be a fun time for me.

I will write a detailed Hotel Review soon. But let me start with a fun list.
Based on my stay at The Gateway Resort Damdama Gurgaon, here is a list of things I loved about the property.
9 Things I Fell in Love With at The Gateway Resort Damdama Lake Gurgaon:
1. The Room
The room I stayed at was very well done and I fell in love with the huge and impressive bathroom. We’re talking wooden floor, big showering area with a view (if you want), a big space to store luggage and arrange clothes and state of art fixtures.
2. The Quirky Machinery Themed Figures
This was the first thing that caught my mind when I entered the hotel. You’ll find quirky and eye catching figures made up of metal machinery parts all over the property, and they are super cool. My daughter was in awe of them.

3. The Adventure Zone
There is a huge park full of adventure activities that you can do at the Gateway Resort Damdama Lake Gurgaon, and you know what a huge adventure sports fan I am! Remember the time I sky dived in Israel? So yeah, I loved this section a bit too much. Did not get the time to try it out but just looking at it made me feel happy.
4. The Jamun Shake and Burgers
On day one of the retreat, we took a break to explore the property. It is huge property, let me tell you, so we were all happy to sit and relish some snacks right after. And we had a lovely time trying out the yummy Jamun Shake with Burgers and Fries, sitting in the open in The Picnic Table, right opposite the Adventure Zone. The shake was exceptionally delicious.
5. The Stunning Lobby
Okay so I might sound silly, but I loved the lobby of The Gateway Resort Damdama Lake Gurgaon. I mean, it was hard not to admire it because the lobby is grand and so well lit all times of the day! See for yourself.

6. Conference Facilities
We were here for a Writing Retreat by Blogchatter, and that meant using the hotel’s conference rooms a little more than we used our own rooms. And no one was complaining, because the conference facilities at The Gateway Resort Damdama Lake Gurgaon are top class. From the spacious and well equipped room where the sessions were held, to yummy tea time snacks they arranged – everything was efficient.
7. The Food
The food at the hotel’s restaurant was really good. The buffet had a selection of items to choose from, all equally tempting. For a special Asian dinner prepared for us, the chef made sure we operate because everything was just so yummy.

8. The Spa
The spa is stunning just to look at, imagine getting a spa there! The SAP offers relaxation massages as well as grooming treatments.

9. The Service
The staff here was very professional and warm, making sure the guests have everything they need to make their stay a comfortable one. We were well taken care of, and the smiles on everyone’s faces were a big reason a bunch of us are planning to come back to experience this hospitality.
So, these are the 9 things I fell in love with at the Gateway Resort Damdama Lake Gurgaon.
If you are in Gurgaon anywhere in Delhi NCR, The Gateway Resort Damdama Lake Gurgaon should be your next weekend getaway destination. Go for a luxurious staycation from Delhi NCR, and thank me later.
The hotel is also good for conferences and office outings, because of its conferencing facility and the sprawling property that ensures you have plenty of space for team building exercises or just for an outdoor fun session.

(August 3, 2017 - 6:59 pm)This looks like a nice resort. The lobby looks amazing. It must have been fun to sit and relax there. Also the spa looks incredible. I normally don’t visit the spa myself, but it looks like soaking in that bath would have been pretty amazing.

(August 4, 2017 - 6:41 pm)This is a pretty cool review. I wish I had seen it earlier- only a month back my husband and I were looking for a resort a bit away from the city and we decided to stay at Heritage Village Resort in Manesar. I had heard a lot about it and it looked very nice from the pictures. However our experience was horrible to say the least ! I didn’t know about this one, else we couldn’t stayed here. Anyway, maybe next time! Thanks for sharing.

(September 7, 2018 - 4:43 pm)This year’s conference is actually a pretty hefty time commitment – after a couple days in the parks the conference moves to a 3 night Disney Cruise, so overall I’m going to be out of town for a week. I’m bringing M and my parents to the conference and Jess and H are going to join us for a few days as well (they’re skipping the cruise).
