Taipei 101 – A piece of Travel News that will make you want to travel to Taiwan!

New Year is around the corner and I’ve already written about how spending a New Year Eve in London will be like a dream come true. But London is not the only destination that makes the festive season extraordinary – I recently found out the Taiwan is exciting during this time!

So, here’s some information on what to expect from a trip to Taipei in Taiwan during the New Year celebration:

But first, what is Taipei 101?

Taipei 101 was formerly known as the Taipei World Financial Center, and is a landmark super tall skyscraper in Xinyi District, Taipei, Taiwan.

The fireworks that are set off from Taipei 101 at the New Years Eve are something that will give you a novel experience, especially if viewed from the riverside parks.

This year, Taipei 101 also has something new to offer along with its fireworks display – it will now be accompanied by a light show!

The building will be decorated with around 800 lights with an addition of 200 lights that will be installed in its surrounding areas.

Not only the gorgeous looking fireworks and light shows, Taipei 101 will also be introducing France’s famous Strasbourg Christmas Market this year. The market, which will be set up outside the skyscraper, will feature colorful decorative lights, along with gourmet food from December 1-25.

When it comes to nightlife, Taiwan has some exciting places to offer especially for the New Years Eve. To name a few, visit Room 18 and Luxyin Taipei to enjoy their rooftop party.

City buses will run till 2:00 am and the MRT services will operate for 24 hours on the New Years Eve, which will make your club hopping even more easy!

2016 is almost over and its time we decide our New Years plan before it’s too late. This year, book your tickets to Taiwan to welcome 2017 with a bang!
