Tel Aviv: Buzzing with energy. Urban, and how! Chic and Cosmopolitan.
It’s no secret to people who know me in real life, that I loved Israel. Come to think of it, my readers also know it, I’ve written so much about it already! Okay, so this post is happening because I was finally backing up my pictures and saving them in folders and basically OCD-ing over the entire process, when I discovered a few pictures that I clicked from my phone in Tel Aviv and since then, had completely forgotten about them.
I clicked these pictures randomly, while walking down streets in Tel Aviv, exploring the various beaches in the city, or simply sitting at a road side cafe and looking at life go by. There is a certain comfort in knowing that a city you are just starting to discover, feels like your own already.
And this happens to me in Hong Kong always, but never anywhere else. I love the places I travel to or hate them, but feeling like I could live here – that’s a rare thing. After Hong Kong, it happened only in Tel Aviv. Who knows, maybe I am an urban girl at heart who likes to lounge at cafes during the day, and party the night away. Nice day-dreamy thought, eh? ha ha.
Tel Aviv is one of the most happening cities in Israel! You can feel the city come alive on its streets and in the various restaurants, bars and cafes that buzz all day long. Also, Tel Aviv is known for its accessible beaches and vibrant nightlife ranging from Lilienblum Street’s lounges to Dizengoff Street’s open-air cafes.
As Lonely Planet says, travellers often get into the Tel Avivi swing of things straight away, flitting between contemporary art galleries and chic cafes one day, artisan boutiques and blissfully balmy beaches the next. A few days here is fun, but a week can be a revelation – Tel Aviv is fantastic!
Anyway, I hope you enjoy these pictures, and see what I mean about this city. It’s young and vibrant, and it is full of possibilities. The street art in Tel Aviv is something I loved, and it deserves a travel blog post dedicated to it. I promise I will do it soon. For now, feast on these pictures and plan to visit to Israel if you are looking for a trip that will make you look at travel in a new light.
