I was in Delhi for work, and had two meetings on 6th and I doubted very much that I will be able to reach the JLN Stadium in time for the event, which was due to start at 2pm. My darling sister was going with me for the event and we had big plans for our dinner later that night. So yeah – I was excited max!
Twitter informed me that a few of my blogger buddies from Bangalore and Mumbai were also there and happily, we decided to meet inside the auditorium. I managed to get to the venue by 2:20pm, and found my stunningly dressed sister waiting at the entry. There was a massive line for entry with hundreds of what seemed like college students in #ZenFone tees at Gate No.20 of JLN Stadium. Obviously, the place was buzzing with energy.

On entering the auditorium, engulfed in a sea of college kids, a kind gentleman approached us sisters and said ‘Excuse me, are you guys bloggers? Fashion Bloggers?’ Imagine our pleasure at this, heehee. Grinning maniacally from ear to ear in a totally un-fashion-blogger-like manner, we shouted ‘Bloggers, yes!’ winking at each other for the “fashion” part.
He guided us to the blogger registration desk where we were given a kit – A Tee, A Cute Key-Chain and brochures. We then headed to tick off the most important task off our list – taking each others pictures. (Just Kidding. Not!)
Posing, like always!
Once inside the auditorium, it was amazing to see the buzzing crowd. The auditorium was jam packed, and if #ZenFestival was a movie, it would be declared House Full on day-one. Pretty cool, right?

The Stage, all set for new ASUS Products
Soon the program started with Cyrus Sahukar coming on stage and doing what he does best – entertaining us audiences with some witty banter and if his middle name is not Energy, I’d like him to immediately get to it. Then a performance was announced and the stage came alive with colors, drummers and hoola-hooping girls. It was fun.

The stage is all set!
As the performance needed in a roar of applause, the ASUS Chairman Jonney Shih, who had come to India for the first time, came on stage along with ASUS Design Center Director, Jen Chuang, to make a few exciting announcements. “We are very excited to bring our latest ZenFone models and all-new ZenPad Series to the Indian market,” said Mr. Shih. “These brand-new innovations are each an empowering luxury that strikes the perfect balance of beauty, functionality and performance, and offers Indian consumers a premium user experience tailored to their individual mobile needs.” Together, they announced the launch and pricing the following products for users in India:
- ZenFone 2 Deluxe
- ZenFone 2 Laser
- ZenFone Selfie
- ASUS ZenPad 7.0 and
- ASUS ZenPad 8.0
While all the products launched here were stand-outs because of the impressive range of features they offer in their respective price range, the one that made me drool was the ASUS ZenFone Selfie. Sonakshi Sinha, the Dabang Bollywood girl launched it with Jen, and this phone has been on my mind since then!
I have my heart set on the ASUS ZenFone Selfie
The ZenFone Selfie, with its twin 13MP PixelMaster cameras and a dual-color, dual-LED Real Tone flash at both front and rear, seem like the obvious choice for me – you know I am right, right? I mean, see my Instagram account and you’ll see how selfie picture obsessed I am. ZenFone Selfie (ZD551KL) is a trailblazing fusion of fashion, technology and craftsmanship and the apt tag line is: See The Perfect You!
I. Want. ZenFone Selfie. Period.

The ZenFone 2 Deluxe is already getting raving reviews from the tech world, and is an efficient device that boasts of an Octa-Core 64-bit Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ processor with up to 3GB of fast memory for great performance.
As for the ZenPad, let me tell you that among other cool features, ZenPad is the world’s first tablet to integrate DTS-HD Premium Sound, delivering the ultimate sound experience. DTS-HD Premium Sound transforms stereo audio into virtual surround sound so users can enjoy incredible, theatre-quality audio right on ZenPad.
Impressed yet? Well, I am.
I had not used any ASUS Product until last month, when I bought the incredibly cute looking ASUS Eee Book for my frequent travels, my browsing requirements, and its high battery performance – all this only for Rs.14,999! And so far, I am mighty impressed. I had promised the Twitter folks that I will post my review after 2 months of using the product and I intend to do it, because I am simply loving the product, and it also gives me faith in the brand.

Frame it? Please, it already is. Jeez.
The event ended with me catching up with the out-station blogger friends, meeting a blogger/reader who came to the event with my book to get it autographed by me, and me ambushing a fashion Instgrammer (is that a term yet?) asking her who is she wearing. See? Total Fashion lingo, wink wink. ASUS also gave a free Lolly Flash to all of us as a gift and it’s pretty cool for selfies, trust me.
So, I might have taken a few days to write this post and share my #Zenfestival experience, but I’m hoping that my amazing pictures (ha!) and the invaluable info (possible, right?) will make up for the delay. Also, I might buy the ZenFone Selfie real soon and then I’ll have a review post to write too. You can pre-book these mazing phones too, and join me.
Here’s to technology that enhances our lives!
